Kirksville Keys Minus College-Signed Ace
Kirksville Baseball went 17-14 last season. This year, the Tigers will be without ace pitcher Keaton Anderson, who signed to play at Missouri Southern. Coach Derek Allen is confident about figuring out this year’s pieces.
Cole Kelly, Connor Hall and Jack Thomas will be the returning bats and bulk of the depth for the Tigers this season, as Tanner Ferguson, the 2nd starter behind Anderson last year, will now be elevated as the team’s ace. Allen talks about some keys to success….
Kirksville opened the season with wins over North and South Callaway last weekend. The Tigers will visit Quincy on Thursday, before hosting a three-team round robin with Macon and Maryville on Saturday.
We will visit with area coaches on our First Pitch Show Thursday night on KRES and centralmoinfo.com starting at 5:35.
