Kirksville Introduces Residential Street Tree Program

Kirksville is opening a Residential Street Tree Program for its residents. The program has been in the works for the past year following the arrival of the Emerald Ash Borer. Communications Director Austin Miller explains how the program works.

Once the Kirksville Parks Department finds a good location for the tree they will mulch and stake it. Miller says this program benefits both the city and its residents.

Applications for the Kirksville Residential Street Tree Program can be found online at kirksvillecity.com. The cost is 100 dollars per tree and the deadline to apply is September 1st.
