Kirksville Boys Fend Off Hot Shooting Spartans, Moberly Girls Win 20th
The Moberly Spartans knocked down 16 threes but the Kirksville Tigers held them off for a 65-60 victory Tuesday night. The Tigers got out to a 22-10 lead after one quarter.

Moberly held that 27-26 advantage at halftime. There were two ties and five lead changes in the first 3:20 of the third quarter before Kirksville created separation.
The Spartans tied the game at 50 early in the fourth but never regained the lead. Ty Rucker had a team-high 17 points; Kish Jacobs used four threes to finish with 12. Moberly falls to 9-12. The Tigers got a game-high 18 from Cole Kelly, 17 by Gavin Pike and Justin McKim finished with 15, all of those coming in the second half. They move to 12-7.
The Moberly girls attained their 20th win of the season with a 54-34 win. The Lady Spartans were held to five points in the second quarter and led just 26-19 at the break. Grace Billington helped put the game away early in the third.

The Lady Spartans attain back-to-back 20-win seasons for the first time since 2010-11. Kirksville drops to 7-12 and got 17 from Chloe Carter.
