Jewell Ends Truman’s Season

Kobe McKinley hit the game-winning free throws and scored 26 points to lead William Jewell to a 72-70 win over Truman State in the quarterfinals of the GLVC Tournament in St. Charles. Trailing by six at halftime, the Bulldogs outscored Jewell 13-5 to take their only lead of the second half at 43-41. The Cardinals scored the next four and built a lead as large as eight. It is the second time this season that Jewell beat the Bulldogs by two points.
Landon Eiland and Xavier Hall led Truman with 15 points each. The Bulldogs wrap up the season 15-14.
