How Coaching Prepared Lentz To Become Mexico’s Next Superintendent
A former wrestling and softball coach will soon take on the role of leading one of the region’s larger school districts. Dr. Troy Lentz was recently named as the next superintendent of Mexico Schools. Lentz explains one of the biggest lessons he learned from coaching.
Lentz says that lesson is also applicable as a superintendent.
Lentz is making his way to a school system touting recent successes, including a quarterfinalist boys’ basketball team, an FFA program has produced a national officer, and a quiz bowl team ranked among the top 20 in the nation.
Lentz is currently superintendent at Osceola, and spent six years in charge at Norborne. He’ll begin his new position July 1st.
