House Passes Tax Credits Bill for Agriculture

The Missouri House Thursday, by a vote of 110-31, passed House Bill 1720, which is designed to promote numerous agricultural economic opportunities statewide. Representative Danny Busick of Newtown says one of the highlights is a tax credit for small meat processors to build or expand.

Even with new facilities, Busick admits processors would still need to find enough labor.

Among other things, the bill also expands the loans available under Family Farm Act, and provides tax credits for ethanol and biodiesel producers. It now heads to the Senate. Hear more about the bill in an interview with Danny Busick Saturday at 11:10am on Superstation KRES.
