Hounds Fall at Southeastern

The Moberly Greyhounds lost the regular season finale at Southeastern of Iowa 71-64 Saturday night. The Hounds were up 40-34 early in the second half before the Blackhawks went on a 10-nothing run to take the lead for good. Coach Pat Smith cited three reasons for the loss.

Moberly was led by Tekao Carpenter and Xavier Sykes with 15 points each. Moberly falls to 23-7. Southeastern is 18-10. The Greyhounds open postseason play hosting State Fair in the semifinals of the Region 16 Tournament Thursday night at Fitzsimmons-John Arena.
