Horner-GLVC Coach Of The Year-Williams Freshman Of The Year

For the second time, Truman State’s Jeff Horner is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Coach of the Year. Kobi Williams was named the GLVC Freshman of the Year.

Truman was picked last in the GLVC Preseason Coaches Poll. Horner guided the Bulldogs to a 4th place finished with a 12-8 mark in conference play. Williams is Truman’s third Freshman of the Year award-winner in the last six years after Cade McKnight won in 2019 and Masen Miller in 2021.

Guards Xavier Hall and Trey Shearer were both voted 2nd Team All-GLVC. Hall was also named to the All-Defensive Team.

Truman will play William Jewell in the GLVC Conference Tournament Friday night in St. Charles. You can hear the broadcast on KRES and centralmoinfo.com starting at 5:45.
