A Hallsville senior has this combination in his future: visual arts, college track, and California. Davis Forge found the right combination of academics and athletics at Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Forge’s interest in the arts may take his work to the big screen some day….

As for athletics, Forge discusses the long distance recruiting process that made him a part of the Urban Knights track and field program….

Forge, who qualified for the state meet as a junior in the 200, plans to run the sprints at the NCAA Division II program. State universities in California have already announced that the fall sports and in-person classes are canceled. Forge is uncertain if he will get to head west or not….

Forge is finding ways to minimize the disappointment of missing out on the end of his senior year and track and field season at Hallsville High School…..
