Hall’s Career-High Helps Extend Truman’s Win Streak In A Split With Maryville

Matt Haefner came off the bench and scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Trey Shearer added 15. The Bulldogs have won five in a row to improve to 9-6 in the GLVC and 12-11 overall. Truman remains 3rd in the PRS standings. Dewayne Vass scored 26 for Maryville. The Saints drop to 6-9 in the conference and 10-11 overall.

The Maryville women scored the first 13 points and never trailed in a 79-65 win over Truman. Coach Theo Dean broke down the game from the bad start….

All five Saints’ starters scored double figures led by Haidyn Pitsch who hit six triples and scored 20 points. Maryville improves to 11-6 in the GLVC and 14-9 overall. Molly Joyce led Truman with 16. Ellie Weltha had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. The Bulldogs drop to 3-14 and 6-17 overall.

The Truman teams will host Missouri S&T on Saturday. You can hear the doubleheader broadcast on KRES starting at 12:45.
