Greg Buescher Returning to Administrative Role as Principal at Payson-Seymour High School

After spending six years as the La Plata boys basketball and softball coach, Greg Buescher is stepping away to become the principal at Payson-Seymour High School in Illinois.

Buescher previously served as Sturgeon’s principal a decade ago. He says his previous tenure as principal was a learning experience.

Buescher adds he and his family are beginning the transition process of moving to Illinois.

Buescher’s basketball coaching career in Missouri spans 32 seasons and 526 total wins. As softball coach at La Plata, he led the Lady Bulldogs to a second-place finish during the 2021 season.
