Green City Baseball Prepares For District Title Defense

The Green City Gophers baseball team was just one game shy of reaching the state semifinals after a 5-4 loss to Platte Valley last spring. The Gophers reload and look to capture their sixth straight district championship. Coach Dale Whitacre.

Whitacre says the Gophers are led by a pair of seniors.

A majority of the baseball roster is a part of the basketball team that finished third in the state. Whitacre says winning is contagious.
