Four Involved, Two Seriously Hurt in Cole County Accident Saturday

Two people were seriously injured in a four-person accident involving two vehicles Saturday afternoon in Cole County. According to the MSHP, on US 54 just west of Honey Creek Road a car driven by 25-year-old Crist Yordy Cruz Morales of Jefferson City was stalled in the passing lane heading westbound. A vehicle driven by 24-year-old Max Malchow of Adair, Oklahoma struck the rear of Morales’s vehicle. Both drivers had moderate injuries. A teenage boy in Malchow’s car suffered serious injuries. Juan Carlos Ruiz Perez of Jefferson City also suffered serious injuries as a passenger in Morales’s vehicle. All four were taken to an area hospital.
