Four Dead, Three Hurt in Accident on 63

Four people are dead, and three children from Columbia were seriously injured in an accident on Highway 63 in Boone County Monday night. The State Highway Patrol says around 7:30, a car driven by 19-year-old Keith Sumner of Rocheport was travelling southbound in the northbound lanes and ran head-on into an SUV driven by 29-year-old Jessica McKinlay of Columbia, north of the intersection with Lake Road. Both drivers were killed, along with two passengers in the SUV, 34-year-old Christopher McClain of Columbia and a ten-year-old girl from Columbia. A 6-year-old boy, and two girls, ages 3 and 2, were taken to Columbia.
