The Clarence municipal pool was recently closed for four straight days due to cloudy water conditions. Recent hot temperatures were deemed to be the main reason for the poor water conditions. Clarence City Clerk Cindy Bowman says crews worked extensively to get the pool back open.

This and other issues have resulted in city officials planning to convert the pool to saltwater. Bowman discusses the advantages of saltwater over chlorinated water.

The cost to convert the pool to saltwater is expected to be less than two-thousand dollars.
