The highly ranked Central Methodist soccer teams dominated the major awards in Heart of America all-conference voting. Dan Schmidlin is the Heart Women’s Soccer Coach of the Year after leading CMU to the second regular season title in program history. The Eagles boast a spotless 18-0 record on the season and are currently sitting at a program-high in the national rankings in the 5th slot. From the Eagles, Judith Sainz is the Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year, Mireia Lopez is the Defensive Player of the Year, and Sheila Sanchez is the Freshman of the Year.

The Central Methodist men have held the number 1 spot in the NAIA Men’s Soccer Coaches’ Top 25 Poll for the last six weeks, AND are led by Heart Coach of the Year Alex Nichols. From the Eagles, Marcos German and Daniel Hernandez are co-Players of the Year. German is the Defensive Player of the Year and Hernandez is the Offensive Player of the Year.
