‘Celebrating a Moment in Time’ Recognizes Disney’s Childhood in Marceline

This Saturday, Marceline will host “Celebrating a Moment in Time,” which recognizes 100 years of the Walt Disney Company. It also acknowledges Walt Disney’s childhood in Marceline. Executive Director of the Walt Disney Hometown Museum, Kaye Malins, explains how this event came about.

A series of free activities will be held Saturday in Ripley Park, beginning at noon. These include a meet-and-greet with the voice actor for Mickey Mouse, a scavenger hunt and various games. Malins says this is an important event to bring to Marceline.

Activities in Ripley Park will conclude at 4 pm with the unveiling of the clock at the museum. For more information, visit waltdisneymuseum.org.
