Cairo’s Marcie Harman and Green City’s Asher Buggs-Tipton are this week’s Hawkins-Harrison Insurance Players of the Week.

Harman averaged 13.6 points per game, including a 20 and 12 double-double against Sturgeon. She also scored her 1,000th point against New Franklin, capping off a perfect 3-0 week for the Lady Cats.

Buggs-Tipton had a strong showing at the La Plata Tournament. His week included 22 points against La Plata, 15 against Canton and a team-high 25 points in the championship game against Schuyler County. The Gophers captured their first ever La Plata Tournament championship.
