Cairo Man Faces Charges After Accident

A Cairo man was seriously injured in an accident on Route CC, four-and-a-half miles northeast of Cairo, around 11:15 Saturday night. The State Highway Patrol says 23-year-old Caleb Smith crossed the center of the road and hit an embankment. He was taken to Columbia, and he was also booked for DWI and failure to drive on the right half of the road.
