Bruner Explains Difficult Decision to Depart Lewis & Clark Conference

As reported earlier this week, Marceline is moving from the Lewis & Clark Conference to the Grand River Conference. Superintendent Dr. Zach Bruner said it was a difficult decision.

Bruner says there were discussions to expand the Lewis & Clark to provide more stability for 11-man football but nothing panned out.

The conference moves takes effect in the 24-25 school year, and Bruner says that was a courtesy choice.

Marceline Superintendent Dr. Zach Bruner will join us on our Newsmaker program Saturday morning at 7:45 on KWIX & KRES.

The Brookfield School Board also approved moving to the Grand River Conference in 2024 this week.
