Brookfield Takes Bell Game 14-0

Senior Colton Parn contributed on offense, defense, and special teams in the Brookfield Bulldogs 14-0 win over Marceline in the Bell Game Friday night.

J.B. Connoley with the call on Superstation KRES and centralmoinfo.com. The conversion was good, and it remained 8-0 until the Bulldogs’ Kendrell Carter capped off a six-plus minute drive with just over two minutes left in the game.

Parn ended Marceline’s last drive with an interception, allowing the Bulldogs to run out the clock. At quarterback, he also completed 8 of 14 passes for 53 yards, and carried the ball 23 times for 78 yards. Brookfield Coach Cory Luke…

Marceline quarterback Dax Thomas carried the ball eight times for 101 yards unofficially before leaving the game with cramps. Brookfield has now won four of the last five Bell Games. The Bulldogs are now 1-1, and hosts South Shelby next. Marceline falls to 0-2, and plays at Harrisburg Friday night in a game we’ll have on Glory 97.3.
