Bowling Green Farmer Named Soy Checkoff Vice-Chair

A Bowling Green farmer will take on a new role with the United Soybean Board next year.  At this week’s meeting in St Charles, farmer-leaders of the nationwide soy checkoff program selected Meagan Kaiser as the board’s new vice chair.  Kaiser currently serves as the board’s treasurer and chair of the strategic plan task force.  She was first appointed to the USB in 2019.

Checkoff directors elected Ralph Lott of New York, as next year’s chair.  Lott calls it an exciting and pivotal time for U.S. soybean growers with a productive growing season, favorable prices, and increased demand.  He adds that he’s looking forward to continuing the board’s success of making investments in addressing both immediate and long-term opportunities, as well as driving resiliency for America’s soy farmers.
