Boonville Football Looks to Build Momentum From 2022 District Title

Last season the Boonville Pirates battled past Moberly to claim a district championship and book a quarterfinal home game. While the Pirates fell to eventual Class 3 runner-up Reeds Spring in that contest there is a lot of promise heading into the new season. Boonville coach Greg Hough says Evan Bishop will be their new quarterback this fall.

Bishop won’t be short on options to throw to.

The Pirates also return all of their starters on the offensive line. Hough says they will need help off the bench.

Following the trip to Pleasant Hill, the Pirates play their home opener against Marshall on September 1st. You can hear from Coach Hough and the rest of our area coaches on the KRES Kickoff Show at 5:35 pm on August 24th.
