Blaine Perkins Commits to UW-Platteville

Putnam County running back Blaine Perkins recently announced his commitment to play football at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Perkins says a couple of different factors played into the decision to play at UW-Platteville.

During his senior season at Putnam County Perkins compiled 1,502 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns, while adding 394 receiving yards and an additional three touchdown catches. The Midgets were 9-3 this past season and finished as district runners-up. Perkins says he’s pleased to have played such an important role.

First-year Putnam County head coach Adam Huse saw the team’s turnaround from a 3-7 campaign in 2021. Perkins says Huse left an impression on the entire senior class.

Perkins intends to major in education at UW-Platteville. He joins a Pioneer football team that went 5-5 this past season under first-year head coach Ryan Munz.
