Bidding Process Ongoing for Electric Charging Station in the Cairo School District

Last month the Cairo School District purchased an electric school bus through the EPA Clean Bus Program. The district is now accepting bids for the installation of an electric charging station for the bus. Superintendent David Samuel details the work that needs to be done.

The bids are expected to range between 15-thousand and 25-thousand dollars. The bidding process will close at the end of the month. Samuel says its important to get the electrical work done as soon as possible.

The Cairo School District is targeting October to have the electric bus up and running.
