Belanger Heroics Lead To A 3rd GLVC Player Of The Week Award

For the third time this season, Truman State Hannah Belanger is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week. The senior guard averaged 23.5 points and had two big moments in two Bulldog wins last week.
Belanger scored 26 points, including the game-tying three-pointer with nine seconds left, and then scored seven of the team’s eight points in overtime in a 99-97 win over Maryville on Thursday.
On Saturday, Belanger hit two free throws with two seconds left to lift the Bulldogs to a 72-71 win over Missouri-St. Louis. She scored 21 points in that game.
Belanger went over the 1,700-point mark for her career on Saturday and she currently leads the GLVC in scoring this season and is fourth in Division II at 22.1 points per game.
