Back-to-Back State Champions Marceline Have New Look in 2023

After graduating four seniors last season, the Marceline Lady Tigers will turn to a new crop of returners in an attempt to win a third straight softball state title. Among last season’s departures was pitcher Cassi Rodgers. Coach Todd Lowther discusses the pitching rotation for this season.

The Lady Tigers blasted 40 home runs last season to set the program record. Lowther says the offense will still be potent this year.

The Lady Tigers have won six district titles in the last seven years. Lowther says he has confidence in his group of upperclassmen to keep that tradition going.

Marceline opens the season on August 28th at Penney. They then visit Moberly the following night. You can hear from coach Lowther and the rest of our area coaches during the Softball Warm-Up Show Wednesday at 5:35 pm on Superstation KRES.
