August/September 2021 Freeman Insurance Players of the Game

9/10/21 Brookfield at Centralia football: Centralia senior quarterback Beau Gordon rushed for 224 yards on 24 carries and four touchdowns. Gordon also threw for 58 yards in a 30-12 victory over Brookfield.

9/10/21 Excelsior Springs at Moberly football: Moberly junior quarterback Collin Huffman went 15-24 passing with 193 yards and two touchdowns in Moberly’s 34-14 loss to Excelsior Springs.

9/10/21 Putnam County at Milan football: Milan senior running back racked up 22 carries for 149 yards and three first half touchdowns to help lead Milan to a 49-6 win over Grand River rival Putnam County.

9/9/21 Macon at Moberly softball: Reese Adair played a major role in Macon’s 7-2 win over Moberly. The junior first baseman finished 2-for-4 with three RBIs, including the go-ahead, two-run single in the top of the second.

9/3/21 Moberly at Osage football: Moberly senior Martez Nabors had five receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown in Moberly’s 25-13 loss to Osage.

9/3/21 Marceline at Brookfield football: Marceline’s 18 seniors came together to shutout Brookfield 20-0 to snap a two-game Brookfield winning streak in the Bell Game.

9/3/21 South Shelby at Westran football: Westran sophomore rushed for 207 yards on 35 carries and scored four touchdowns in a 40-30 victory over South Shelby.

9/2/21 Monroe City at Macon softball: Macon senior Brooke Weimer pitched a complete game with ten strikeouts and left just three batters on base to lead Macon to a 2-0 win over Monroe City.

8/27/21 Westran at Salisbury football: Westran senior running back Quinn Massey ran the ball 18 times for 159 yards and two touchdowns in his first-ever start at running back in Westran’s 45-12 win over Salisbury.

8/27/21 Smith-Cotton at Moberly football: Smith-Cotton’s Mylan Hawkins scored four touchdowns and rushed for 158 yards to lead Smith-Cotton to a 32-12 victory over Moberly

8/27/21 Hallsville at Palmyra football: Hallsville junior receiver Landyn Sievers hauled in two catches for two touchdowns on 101 yards in Hallsville’s 28-7 win over Palmyra.
