Alpers Appointed To United Soybean Board

A Cooper County soybean grower is among nine new faces on the United Soybean Board.  Robert Alpers of Prairie Home was appointed to the board, which oversees the collection and use of soy checkoff funds.  He’s a previous chairman of the Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council.  The United Soybean Board invests checkoff contributions into research and consumer education.  Another eight farmers were re-appointed to the board and four alternates were also selected.  USB Vice Chair Meagan Kaiser, a soybean farmer from Bowling Green, says the new members represent a variety of operations and unique points of view that share a common goal to maximize profit opportunities for every U.S. soybean farmer.
