Ackman Selected as New Harrisburg High School Activities and Athletic Director

Last week the Harrisburg School District announced Chris Ackman as the new high school activities and athletic director. Ackman has spent 16 years at Harrisburg. That includes seven years as the head baseball coach and the past three as the middle school AD. Ackman says he’s excited for his new job.

Ackman takes over for Ryan Richardson who was recently hired as Hallsville’s new activities director and facilities coordinator. He worked under Richardson over the past three years.

Ackman discusses his early plans as activities and athletic director.

Prior to his time at Harrisburg, Ackman spent two years as a teacher and coach at Pacific and one year split between the Hazelwood and Windsor Imperial school districts.
