4-H, FFA Riders Kick Off Contests At 119th Missouri State Fair

The first contests at the 119th Missouri State Fair are underway this weekend in Sedalia as 4-H and FFA members have brought their horses to the fairgrounds for the equine contests.  Among the competitors was fourth-grader Allie Moore of Marceline, who brought her horses Candee and Missy.  She tells Regional Radio what contests she’s taking part in this weekend.

The Arabian show will lead off Sunday morning’s contests, while the Horsemanship classes take/took place today (Saturday).  Moore explains what she enjoys the most about riding horses.

Moore has this word of advice for her peers as they prepare for their competitions at the fair:

Allie Moore of Marceline is a member of the Linn 4-H Club.  After the horse shows, the next 4H and FFA contests at the 119th Missouri State Fair will be the poultry live market show August 10th.
