Winter Weather Presenting Challenges for Local School Districts

Snow and freezing rain have prevented area school districts from holding classes for much of January. Putnam County Superintendent Heath Halley says days like Monday are a challenge to decide on.

Halley adds this is a tough time of year for students to miss class.

The Putnam County School District has yet to discuss any makeup days for the remainder of the school year.
