O’Laughlin has been Westran’s Athletic Director the last five years. He relinquished his head football coaching job in early 2023. O’Laughlin started his coaching and teaching career at Westran 13 years ago, left, and came back for the last eight years. He appreciates the stability in the Westran school district…..

O’Laughlin was of the leaders in changing high school football classification rules capping Class 1 at 36…..

Along with his time at Westran, O’Laughlin spent the 2012 and 2013 seasons as head coach at Greenfield. He was also an assistant coach at South Shelby in 2014 and Marceline in 2015.
