The 25th ranked Truman State football team will celebrate senior day and host McKendree this Saturday afternoon at Stokes Stadium. The Bulldogs have bounced back from a last second loss to Lindenwood to post back-to-back wins over S&T and William Jewell to improve to 7-1 overall and 4-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. McKendree coach Mike Babcock says this is the best Truman team in his 7th year in the GLVC…..

McKendree receiver Matt Cole leads the GLVC in all-purpose yards (156.9) and has eight receiving touchdowns. Coach Babcock has watched Cole score touchdowns on both kick and punt returns….

Cole has won the GLVC Special Teams Player of the Week award three times this season.

Truman four-year starters Jaden Barr and Jordan Salima will be among the seniors playing their final game at Stokes Stadium. Barr is 2nd among all active Division II players in total plays from scrimmage (1,467) and is 5th in total offense (8,496) and pass completions (596). The Bulldog signal caller will likely move into 2nd place on Truman’s total offense list on Saturday.

Salima is coming off a career-high four rushing touchdowns at William Jewell. Coach Nesbitt says he deserves to be in the club of great Bulldog backs…

Salima is 2nd among all active D2 players in all-purpose total plays (866) and 4th in rush attempts (739).
