Ryan Hawkins scored 25 points and Trevor Hudgins added 22 to lead 2nd ranked Northwest Missouri State to an 81-66 victory over Truman Friday night in Maryville. The Bearcats led 47-30 at half and extended the advantage to as much as 28 points in the second half. Head coach Jeff Horner talked about staying competitive early in the game, then being unable to respond.

Three-point percentages held true in the game. The Bearcats made 11-25 for 44%, which is their average for the season and is tops in the country. The Bulldogs needed 27 attempts to make eight from distance shooting 30%, which is their season average. Brodric Thomas paced the ‘Dogs in scoring with 13.

Northwest improves to 10-1. Truman’s four game winning streak ends. The Bulldogs drop to 5-4. The Truman teams will get back in conference play January 2nd at William Jewell.
