Truman and Maryville Split

Truman’s basketball teams split with Maryville Thursday afternoon.

In the women’s game, Maryville erased a 20-point halftime deficit, but the Bulldogs outscored Maryville 10-5 in the final three and a half minutes to secure a 67-62 win.

Maryville falls to 2-2.

In the men’s game, Truman had an 11-game winning streak snapped in a 90-83 loss. Turner Scott hit five of eight three-point attempts in the loss.

Elijah Hazekamp led the Bulldogs with 19.

Maryville hit 14 of 25 threes, and the Saints’ Owen Long had a game-high 30. Truman falls to 5-1. Maryville is 3-2.

Both Truman teams host Southern Indiana Sunday, starting with the women at 1.
