Truman Again Tops the Midwest-Mizzou Climbs in National Best Value Rankings

Truman State University is the number one regional public school in the Midwest Region for the 25th consecutive year according to U.S. News & World Report. In the 2022 Best Colleges rankings, Truman came in 6th overall among both public and private institutions in the Midwest Region; an improvement of one spot from last year. In addition to being the top regional public university in the region, Truman was the only Missouri in the top 70 spots.

The University of Missouri moved up 13 spots in the U.S. News and World Report national rankings, and is ranked 72nd among best value schools, and 122nd overall. Among public national universities, MU ranked 12th as a best value and beat the public national universities in all eight neighboring states. Mizzou was also lauded for its veteran friendly campus, moving up 13 spots to 73rd. Last year, the 6-year graduation rate improved to 73 percent, and the retention rate increased to 89 percent.
