Thomas’s Seven Touchdowns Carry Marceline Over Salisbury

The Marceline Tigers got it done in multiple ways in a 66-30 win over Salisbury at Chester Ray Stadium. Junior quarterback Dax Thomas got the Tigers on the board first.

Steven Findley Jr with the call on 97.3 KTCM and centralmoinfo.com. The Tigers forced a fumble on the following kickoff, leading to a touchdown. Thomas ran in another score in the 1st before adding to the lead early in the 2nd quarter, this time on defense.

Marc Garcia converted on a scoop and score for 68-yards and Thomas had another interception return for a touchdown in the 2nd quarter. Marceline coach Joey Peterson said his defense adjusted to the Salisbury rushing attack.

Thomas finished with 294 yards unofficially with seven total touchdowns, six coming in the first half alone. Conner Quinn contributed two rushing touchdowns in the win. Peterson praised the offensive side of the ball.

Patrick White and Eli Jackson hooked up for three touchdowns through the air for the Panthers. Salisbury coach Oren Magruder.

Magruder said that his team has to move forward from the loss.
