Spartans Control Second Half, 6-0 For First Time in a Decade

The Moberly Spartans controlled the second half in a 36-14 win at Marshall Friday night. It was all Spartans in the first quarter.

Austin Ward with call on KWIX-AM & FM and centralmoinfo.com. Ka’Von Tiger added a six-yard rushing touchdown with 2:11 left in the quarter. Marshall proceeded to score 14 in the second quarter, capped off by a 16-yard touchdown run by Chase Thompson with 24 seconds left in the half. Moberly’s defense forced a three-and-out on the first drive of the second half, then the offense cashed in.

Tiger found paydirt again in the fourth.

Moberly later got a safety on a high Marshall punt snap that went through the back of the endzone. Gage St. Clair attained his second score of the night from five yards out with 2:45 to go. Coach Cody McDowell…

Moberly reaches 6-0 for the first time since 2013. Marshall falls to 1-5.
