Soyoil Can Help Keep The Roof On Repair Costs

Soyoil’s use in place of petroleum products continues to expand opportunities for soybean growers.  Missouri Soybeans recently observed the use of a soy-based product intended to extend the life of roof shingles.  Matt Amick is Missouri Soybeans’ director of biofuels and new uses.

Amick says RoofMaxx was developed in Ohio with support from their state’s checkoff program.  He notes the significant cost savings from its use.

Matt Amick of Missouri Soybeans says RoofMaxx is the most recent use of a soyoil-based product in Missouri, following soyoil’s use in pavement, tires and biodiesel.
