Shearer Clutch Shots Deliver The Bulldog Men Their First Road Win-UIS Women Win

Trey Shearer came up big in the final minutes of Truman’s 81-77 victory at Illinois-Springfield this afternoon (Sat.)….

Shearer finished with 13 points. Kobi Williams led all scorers with 19, Landon Eiland added 17 and Xavier Hall chipped in 15……

The Bulldogs won their first road game this season to improve to 2-4 in the GLVC and 5-9 overall. The Prairie Stars drop to 5-3 in the conference and 12-6 overall.

The Illinois-Springfield women took 25 more shot attempts in beating Truman 75-56. The Prairie Stars turned 27 offensive rebounds into 31 second chance points. Coach Theo Dean…

The Prairie Stars also got 24 points off turnovers to improve to 7-3 in the GLVC and 9-7 overall. Molly Joyce and Maddie Niemeier both scored 11 points to lead Truman. Bailey Kliever had nine points and 11 rebounds. The Bulldogs have dropped their first eight conference games and fall to 3-11 overall.
