Seth Bass Leaving North Shelby to Rebuild Another 8-Man Football Program
The North Shelby Raiders will have a new 8-Man Football coach next fall. Seth Bass is leaving the district at the end of the year to pursue a different opportunity. Bass started the North Shelby 8-Man Football team five years ago and built the program into a contender which is coming off back-to-back state quarterfinal appearances. Bass says his departure from North Shelby comes at a time where he has a couple of attractive opportunities to do something he loves.
The Raiders return seven of eight starters from last year’s state quarterfinal team. Bass admitted it was tough to leave in a year where North Shelby could be a state title contender.
Bass believes North Shelby will be able to move forward once he leaves.
In his five years, Bass compiled a 31-23 record. Bass has a message for his successor.
North Shelby finished 8-3 last fall and fell to state champion Southwest Livingston in the quarterfinals.
