Scholar Bowl Season Remains Up In The Air

While MSHSAA’s state music festival and speech, debate and theatre championships won’t be contested this year because of the coronavirus outbreak, they are still hoping to host their scholar bowl championships this May. That means for players like Scotland County junior Anna Triplett, they still need to stay sharp for districts.

Scotland County won two tournaments earlier this month, including the Lewis and Clark Conference title last Saturday in Westran. Districts remain scheduled for April 18th and state May 9th and 10th, but MSHSAA says they continue to evaluate the situation and determine if the state series can be completed as scheduled.
