Salisbury Erases Early Deficit For Sectional Win

The Salisbury Panthers erased an early deficit to beat the Tipton Cardinals 46-36 in a Class 2 sectional Tuesday. The Cardinals raced out to a 20-9 lead early in the second quarter. Salisbury responded with a 15-1 run.

Tipton scored the final four points of the second quarter to hold a 25-24 halftime lead. It was tied at 31 after three.

Grayson Cole led the Panthers with 15 points. Cooper Francis and Mason Stapleton each had 12.

Tipton ends its season at 19-10 and got a game-high 19 points from Jackson Bailey. The Panthers are 25-2 and get surging Harrisburg in an All-L&C quarterfinal Saturday.
