Ricketts Set to Compete at NAIA Nationals

A former Hallsville state qualifier will compete at the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Gulf Shores, Alabama, tomorrow (Wed.). Hannah Ricketts, of Columbia College, qualified in the hammer throw with a distance of 50.39-meters (“B” standard) achieved at the St. Francis Fighting Chance Invite. Ricketts is number 19 in the event and will compete at 2:00. This event is finals only.

Alexander Dukes of Mexico qualified in the half marathon, but due to injury will not be able to compete. Quinton Brown of Columbia qualified in the high jump. He currently has the ninth-best height in the NAIA (2.05-meters), which he set at the CMU Open on March 20. The high jump takes place on Thursday, at 4:30. This event is finals only.
