Tuesday morning, the Randolph County Health Department was notified that a resident within the county tested positive for COVID-19. The communicable disease nurse, in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, will be obtaining a history of any contacts that the patient may have had over the last two weeks and will be contacting those persons directly to notify them of any potential exposure and what steps they will need to take to quarantine and self-monitor.

Health Department Administrator Sharon Whisenand says they will release more information as they can.

More testing continues to be done nationwide.

Statewide, there have been over 180 positive tests.
