Moberly Swept By Mineral Area
The MACC basketball teams were swept at home by Mineral Area Saturday night, with the women losing to the 22nd-ranked Cardinals 81-64, and the 16th-ranked men men falling to the 7th-ranked Cardinals 61-46. Cita Del Valle led Moberly with 13 points, and Deziree Bryant added 12. Moberly has lost six straight, and is now 8-8 on the year and 0-2 in Region 16. Minera Area is 16-1, and 2-0 in the region, haveing now won ten straight.
The men were in a tight game until just before halftime. A four-point play and a late three in the final 11 seconds put the Cardinals up 30-19 at halftime.

Cameron Williams led Moberly with 10. Javaris Moye had 9. Moberly is now 13-4, and 1-1 in Region 16. Mineral Area is 16-0, 2-0 in the region.
