MOBERLY MEETS RIVAL MEXICO WITH BIG DISTRICT IMPLICATIONS IN WEEK NINE
October 24, 2019 6:45PM CDT
5-3 Moberly welcomes 4-4 Mexico to close the regular season Friday. Both teams are 2-2 in the NCMC. The Spartans defeated the Bulldogs twice last year. Moberly head coach Cody McDowell discusses how a young Mexico team has developed this year.
Mexico owns consecutive conference wins against Kirksville and Fulton. The Bulldogs returned Ty Prince under center, but Mexico features three first-year starters in the backfield. Head coach Steve Haag says the unit has evolved.
Haag indicates the Bulldogs have adjusted defensively in recent weeks.
The NCMC rivals share a Class 3 district. Moberly enters week nine in third while Mexico is fifth. McDowell compliments another large Spartan senior class ahead of the regular season finale.
Coverage of Moberly versus Mexico Friday on KWIX and centralmoinfo.com starts at 6:40pm with Brad Boyer and Eric Duick on the call. The Lindy’s College Football Report leads into the broadcast at 6:05pm.
