Mizzou Names Veatch Next AD

The University of Missouri announced officially that Laird Veatch has been named the next athletic director, effective May First. He has had the same job at Memphis since 2019. Veatch played football at Kansas State, and has 25 years of experience in college athletics in the Big 12 and Southeastern Conference. Veatch was at Mizzou from 1997 to 2002, the last three as assistant athletic director for development, overseeing the department’s fundraising activities. He also served as general manager of Mizzou Sports Properties from 2003 to 2006 and as regional vice president for Learfield Sports in Missouri from 2006 to 2010.
