The Missouri Department of Conservation will host a free workshop in Kirksville on the basics of firearms and shooting. Participants will learn about the basics of firearms safety, shooting technique, equipment, target shooting, and more. The program will consist of classroom lessons, followed by hands-on experience on the shooting range. The classroom portion of the workshop will take place July 6th from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at the department’s Northeast Regional Office in Kirksville. Participants will then choose a day to attend the practical shooting session, which will take place July 7th through 9th. Participants must attend the classroom session in order to be a part of the practical session on the shooting range. They must also be at least 14 years old.
